Franklin County 911 is accepting applications for the position of Communications Officer.
Job Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age, High School Diploma or GED, Valid Driver’s License, Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), Complete a drug screen, Must complete a criminal background check, Must be able to obtain a POST certification for communication officer within 6 months of hire date, Must have adequate computer and typing skills.
The job will consist of 12 hour shifts, days and/or nights, including some holidays and weekends. Duties include, but are not limited to, answering multi line phones, communicating with multiple departments through a two-way radio system, ability to multi-task during stressful situations, entering information into CAD (computer aided dispatch), and perform other duties as required.
