Payroll- Human Resources Clerk:

This position is a mixture of Payroll & Human Resources duties. The payroll function involves the preparation, processing, and production of the bi-weekly payrolls for all County employees. Additionally, this position provides assistance to employees pertaining to payroll and benefits, maintenance of personnel records, and reconciling and preparing insurance premium invoices for payment.

This work requires multitasking with accuracy and efficiency with a great attention to detail; requires work to be completed within designated timeframes and in accordance with established procedures; and involves interaction with co-workers, department heads/supervisors, vendors, and the general public.

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or state-issued GED supplemented by training from a recognized institution in accounting, payroll, and general office practices, or closely related areas. A college degree or diploma from an accredited college or university is preferred. Two (2) years work experience in accounting and/or payroll duties is required.

Senior Center Kitchen Job Opening

Franklin County Senior Center is looking for part-time help in the kitchen to help serve meals for the elderly at the center and in the community through the home delivered meals program.  Hours will be 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM Monday-Friday.  Individual must have ServSafe certification or be willing to get the certification.  Please contact the senior center for more information about the job opening at 706-384-2500.

Franklin County 911 is accepting applications for the position of Communications Officer.

Job Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age, High School Diploma or GED, Valid Driver’s License, Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), Complete a drug screen, Must complete a criminal background check, Must be able to obtain a POST certification for communication officer within 6 months of hire date, Must have adequate computer and typing skills. 

The job will consist of 12 hour shifts, days and/or nights, including some holidays and weekends. Duties include, but are not limited to, answering multi line phones, communicating with multiple departments through a two-way radio system, ability to multi-task during stressful situations, entering information into CAD (computer aided dispatch), and perform other duties as required.
