Solid Waste & Recycling

Franklin County currently provides citizens with three options to help dispose of trash and recyclables: three recycling centers and one solid waste center. Trash must be bagged, and a nominal fee is charged per bag. The Franklin County Convenience Center in Carnesville accepts bagged household trash and small debris. A nominal $1 per bag fee is charged at this location. Payment must be made by check or card.

All three locations also accept certain recyclable materials as listed below: 

Carnesville Location: Accepts Trash, Recyclables, and Tires

Open: Tuesday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM & Saturday 8:00 AM-12:00 PM

*Closed 12:00-1:00 PM for lunch

Small Truck/SUV    =     $7.00/each

Mounted Tire          =     $10.00/each

Large Tire/Tractor  =     $15.00/each

Lavonia Location: Recyclables Only
