April 18,2024 Meeting

1.Meeting was called to order at 530pm by Chairperson Cindy Banks

2.Marie Whitworth led in prayer.

3.Pledge of allegiance of the American Flag 

4.New Business:

     A. L&A testing began on Monday April 15, 2024. This included testing of all Ballot marking Devices, scanners and poll pads. This will continue until all equipment has been tested.

     B. All poll workers for 5/21 have been hired and trained

     C. Election night jobs for all board members were assigned.

           1. Empty AIP scanner and secure all ballots- all board members

           2. Retrieve memory cards from poll workers, sign chain of custody and bring card to ballot room- Cindy Banks

           3. Duplicate Panel and Vote review Panel- Rosemary Jackson and Angela Whidby plus one person from each party

           4. Count absentee ballots- all board members

           5. Announce election results to the media and public- Cindy Banks

           6. Accept notebooks and Ballot boxes from precinct managers- Linda Payne

           7. Ballot room - Sherry MacDonald and Marie Whitworth

      D. Early voting begins on Monday 4/29/24 and continues until Friday 5/17/24. All days will be 8am-5pm

      E. Website www.franklincountyga.gov/elections-registrations

      F. By laws. We will be creating/updating new by laws. We will keep this updated on the website

5. Next meeting date 5/23/24 at 5pm to certify the 5/21/24 election

6. Meeting was adjourned at 647pm. Sherry MacDonald made a motion and Angela Whidby seconded
