Permit Check List

 

Please see below on documentation needed to complete your application:

 

Residential Building Permit on basement, crawlspace, or slab (New and Addition):

  • Deed
  • Recorded Plat of Property
  • Construction Drawings
  • House Location Plans - Scaled lot drawing with a scaled foot print of structure and all other structures located on property. Must include setbacks, building limitations, and erosion sediment control.
  • Septic Permit 
  • License Documentation - State license card (Ex. General Contractor). If self-contracting for personal use then upload homeowner's affidavit. Homeowner's affidavit cannot be used for rental, development, or commercial properties)
  • GSCC Blue Card - State Certification for Grader Used. If grading conducted by property owner, upload copy of Homeowner's Affidavit. (If Grading over 1 acre)
  •  Notice of Intent (NOI) must be obtained from GA EPD and included with application. (If Grading over 1 acre)

 

Residential Accessory Structure (WITH Plumbing/Electric/Mechanical):

  • Deed
  • Recorded Plat of Property

  • Septic Permit (If Applicable)

  • Contractors License ( Pool Installer)
  • Sub-Contractors License (Electrician)

 

Manufactured Home Permit: If this is a new mobile home, go to #2

1. Pre-Owned Manufactured Home Inspection Request:

  • Please know specifications of mobile home including:
    • Year
    • Make
    • Home model
    • Title
    • HUD labels
    • Current location
    • FOOTERS MUST BE INSPECTED BEFORE HOME IS MOVED

2. Manufactured Home Permit:

  • Pre-Owned Manufactured Home Inspection (If installing PREOWNED home)
  • Title (REQUIRED FOR A PRE-OWNED HOME)
  • Plat
  • PT41 ( Bill of Sale) if NEW mobile home
  • Deed
  • Site plan
  • Installer License Documentation
  • Electrician
  • GSWCC Blue Card - State Certification for Grader Used. 

 

 

Trades: 

Electrical Permits:

  • License Documentation - State license card (Ex. General Contractor). If self-contracting for personal use then upload homeowner's affidavit. Homeowner's affidavit cannot be used for rental, development, or commercial properties).

HVAC Permits

  • License Documentation - State license card (Ex. General Contractor). If self-contracting for personal use then upload homeowner's affidavit. Homeowner's affidavit cannot be used for rental, development, or commercial properties)

Plumbing Permits:

  • License Documentation - State license card (Ex. General Contractor). If self-contracting for personal use then upload homeowner's affidavit. Homeowner's affidavit cannot be used for rental, development, or commercial properties).
