Eddie Wester

Biography

Eddie Wester is the current commissioner of District 4. He grew up most of his childhood in Smyrna, Georgia, and moved to Franklin County in 1993 to attend Emmanuel College on a baseball scholarship. Mr. Wester graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Emmanuel College in 1997.

Eddie is married to Delina Wester and they have 2 children, Jade and Will. Delina and Eddie have been happily married for over 20 years. Delina has lived in Franklin County her entire life and is a graduate of Franklin County High School and Emmanuel College.

The Wester family attends Franklin Springs PH Church. Mr. Wester is the leader of Men’s Ministries. He also teaches the high school boys Sunday School class.

Eddie works at Harbin Lumber Company and has been with them for over 5 years. Before working at Harbin Lumber, he worked in the construction field for Floyd Construction for 21 years.

In his spare time, his hobbies are anything outdoors. He loves fishing and hunting with his family and they also love relaxing on the lake in the summer. They spend their summer weekends wakeboarding and tubing.

Mr. Wester stated “My biggest accomplishment is my family. We do everything together and always have a fun time and enjoy being with each other. Family time has always been important to me from the time I was young.”

Eddie Wester enjoys being a commissioner because it gives me a chance to help the citizens with things they have going on.  He shared this statement “I have made a lot of new friends as a commissioner that I probably would not have had the chance to otherwise. I want to see Franklin County continue to prosper and move forward in the coming years and look forward to helping in this.”
