Will the County Marshal drive through my neighborhood and address code violations they see at that time?

In most cases, No. The County Marshal's Office attempts to be complaint-driven unless there is a blatant disregard for the county ordinances, i.e., storing an RV on a vacant lot or living in an RV, storage building, or tent. We respond to all complaints citizens, businesses, and county employees report. The County Marshal's Office is solely responsible for responding to and investigating all code enforcement-related complaints and assisting in investigating building and zoning violations for all 260-plus square miles of the county and its more than 23,000 citizens. Additionally, the County Marshal assists other county departments as needed. If you have a code-related complaint, please use the Zoning / Code Enforcement Complaint Form to report the complaint.
